The redesign of the inner-city square in the listed building ensemble includes a reorganisation of the traffic flows, enabling the formation of a neighbourhood square, whose street furniture, fountain and benches, were specially co-designed.

The aim of the design is to redesign the Harras to create an attractive neighbourhood square with a high quality of stay for residents. To achieve this goal, the existing roundabout will be replaced by a three-armed junction in the southern area of the Harras.
The Harras will thus be divided into two areas, a generous square area in front of the Gründerzeit facades on the north side and a forecourt for the listed post office building on the south side. The new spacious square on the north side emphasizes the important pedestrian relationship between the S-Bahn and the center of Sendling.
The new attractive neighbourhood square at Harras is created. A place to linger under trees and sit in the sun, with a fixed eco-market and other temporary events, such as a Christmas market. The Harras becomes the lively and active center of Sendling.

The square is characterized by a light tree grove of existing and newly planted plane trees, they give the spacious square area through their picturesque tree canopy a southern flair. The plane trees mark the spatially uniform, slightly upturned central square areas. The changing play of light and shadow casts a constantly changing texture on the square surfaces. Thanks to a restrained furnishing, all activities that are conceivable on the new Harras can take place under the trees.
