With the redevelopment of the buildings, the properties behind them were combined into a large residential courtyard, which offers open spaces for recreation and play opportunities, but also integrates necessary car parking spaces.
The property has strong differences in height rising from east to west. In order to obtain a functionally and creatively summarizing courtyard area, soft transitions are created with the topography, especially in the green areas.
Two residential courtyards are assigned to the buildings and are intended to become meeting places for the house residents. The central open space between the courtyards is formed by a flower and herb meadow with a surrounding flower hedge and fruit bushes, which take up the concept of the Edible City, to which WHG is committed. The meadow connects the eastern and western parts of the site both functionally and topographically. A curved path opens up the site and the small playground, which is inserted into an embankment.
