Daycare center Trachenberger Platz

In the Trachenberge district of Dresden, a new daycare centre was built exclusively for crèche children aged 1-3. The desire for a near-natural design was gladly met. Thus, only a minimum of surfaces was sealed. The more intensively used areas were designed with lawn, the more remote areas with meadow seedings. Smaller and larger hills as well as luxuriant shrub and perennial plantings structure the garden and offer already by the modeling play incentives.
Through a small competition procedure the playground builder was selected. This completes the picture with its playground equipment made of robinia and oak wood. This play equipment has the potential to provide challenges even for 3 year olds.

The terrace was placed in the shade of the building / north side under an existing tree. This allows it to be used in a relaxed manner even in the height of summer. Since the building is only two-storey, enough light comes there and the terrace is not at all in the dark.

We were awarded the German SPIELRAUM prize in Cologne in November 2019 for the design.
