As part of the construction project, two Wilhelminian-style buildings from 1911 were modernized, three new buildings were erected and two courtyards framed by the buildings were designed.

The front garden area is divided into the building entrance areas with bicycle parking facilities and several small tenant gardens belonging to the first floor apartments. The latter are accessible both from the apartments and via gates from the building entrance areas. For a uniform appearance, the entire front garden area is enclosed by a low granite wall and cherry laurel hedges and the terraces are finished with a uniform, sandblasted concrete slab covering with natural stone facing. The house entrances are designed with a band of slabs and granite mosaic paving. Bed roses and umbrella-shaped rock pears are planted in planting areas, providing a flowering and colorful aspect throughout the year.

The two rear courtyards have a small communal square with benches and a sand play area as well as a pergola in one of the courtyards. Here, too, there are further tenant gardens and storage facilities for bicycles enclosed by hedges. Planting and lawn areas complete the inner courtyards. The plantings are made up of shade-tolerant perennials, grasses, ferns and a few hydrangeas. The two large existing trees in the courtyards have been preserved.
