With the "Lahr welcomes" concept, four important entrances to the city, which are connected to each other via a network of streets, will be given a striking design and integrated into a clear orientation network for the entire city. In addition to linear connecting elements such as avenues, rows of trees and hedges, as well as the design of existing noise barriers, individually placed and designed L-pylons are planned, each marking a typical Lahr and characteristic city appearance with recognition value.

In addition, suitable junctions of the connecting roads and paths will be developed into distinctive communication islands.

The concept is not primarily geared towards the State Garden Show, but can be implemented gradually and sustainably.
