The church forecourt should make it possible to enter the church on dry feet by means of a paved path, accompanied by flowering flower beds. Since carriages also drive up on special occasions, a solution had to be found to go around the model without making the paved area 2.50 m wide. By the water-bound surface the width of the way is reduced optically, which is appropriate for the size of the forecourt.

Bands of perennials in gravel provide a setting for the central lawn and are easy to maintain. With flowering aspects scattered throughout the months, the attractiveness is always there. A large number of bulbous plants of crocuses, grape hyacinths, daffodils and tulips create a lush spring aspect. Pruning in February and the interspersing of grasses provides visitors with an attractive sight even in winter.
Lighting along the paths guides visitors safely to the entrance and illuminates the perennials in the evening hours.
New furniture is designed to invite people to linger in the square.
