In a heterogeneously built environment in the southern part of Gropiusstadt, three residential buildings were constructed on a former parking lot. Their outdoor space should create a togetherness among the new residents and in exchange with the surrounding neighborhood.

A promenade-like path was created between the new buildings and the existing settlement to the east. Along this path are the entrances to the buildings, some of the bicycle and short-term parking spaces, and also a central waste disposal area for the old and new buildings.

Along the path is an activity area with play and sports facilities for smaller children. Here, a bouncy game, trampoline, ping pong tables, balancing equipment, and a climbing tower provide play and exercise opportunities. Planned and informal seating areas provide opportunities for interaction.

The roofing of the underground car park was designed as intensive greenery and designed as a "Bolzwiese". At the edges, "sensory plantings" provide opportunities for touching and smelling. Here, too, seating was provided to create a neighbourly exchange. Shade-giving small trees are used in the area of the Bolzwiese and the action area. Here variegated woody plants such as Prunus cerasifera, Malus 'Evereste' and Acer ginnala are used.

Another playground area for older children is located west of house 3. Here a climbing sculpture and 2 sky swings have been provided. The climbing sculpture offers a variety of movement activities from balancing, climbing or shimmying.

The ground floor apartments of houses 2 and 3 are accompanied by tenant gardens, which are bordered with hedges (Carpinus betulus).

For drainage of roof and surfaces, trough infiltration areas and infiltration trenches were created. The goal was complete infiltration, despite poor soil conditions, on the site. The swales are planted with perennials and woody plants (at the edges) that are tolerant of waterlogging, such as Elaeagnus angustifolia, thus also promoting biodiversity. The result is a moving landscape that ties in with the nearby landscape of the Mark Brandenburg.

Type: Residential complex with 101 units and one commercial unit, play areas, fire brigade access, bicycle parking facilities, waste storage areas.
