Climate protection housing estate Wohnen am Wald - Düsseldorf

With the new construction of the climate protection settlement "Wohnen am Wald" (Living by the Forest), a high-quality open space has been created that is associated with the building structure. The inner courtyard is designed by dividing it into areas with different qualities.

The boundary between private and communal areas is clearly underlined: The tenant gardens of the ground floor apartments are located on the underground parking deck. The central communal area "le coeur" represents the "heart" of the complex. A frame through vegetation - "passepartout" - creates the necessary spatial distance between private and communal areas.
