The former main road in Frankenberg is being converted into a wide promenade with a three-row avenue of string trees. The traffic space will be narrowed to create a wide footpath and cycle path with places to stay. By lowering the road towards the Eder, it will be visible from the city

visible and tangible again and integrated into the cityscape.

Hiking and cycle paths lead across a new bridge to the adjacent Ederbergland recreational area. In addition to the street space, the adjacent natural area along the Eder is being upgraded. The Nemphe will be renaturalized and become the heart

of the new riverside park. Footbridges along the Eder also offer opportunities to spend time right by the water. A variety of site-appropriate perennials and woody plants

design the street and natural space.
