The Stadtwaldpark project comprises the renovation and redesign of a historic building in the middle of the Stadtwaldpark in Melsungen. The building, which was originally built as a lung sanatorium, was acquired by B.Braun AG at the end of the 1970s and has since been used for office and research purposes. The client wanted the office areas to be as open as possible, with around 215 desk workstations and up to 200 other workstations in the form of lounge areas and meeting rooms. Sufficient parking spaces for employees and visitors were to be provided in the immediate vicinity of the building.

When planning the site areas, the natural local conditions were respected as far as possible. The forecourt of the side entrance is laid out with a natural stone surface and the development of the southern area is designed in the form of a water-bound path surface. The planning is based on the historical design of the park. The demolished concrete block steps in the park area were replaced with natural stone block steps. Flower bulbs have been planted in suitable places in the southern area and shrubs have been planted in the area of the western turning area and west of the main entrance. In the vicinity of the planned parking deck, the shrubs and trees have also been planted more densely.
