The open space of the youth center forms a symbiosis with the sculptural building ensemble as the focal point around the spacious outdoor area. Attached to this center and running parallel to the street is the tree grove of memories. In

this sparse field of trees consisting of lignified robinia, chestnut trees and grasses, the museum and commemorative elements are combined in a functional

band are combined. The necessary parking and access zones are arranged parallel to the street in a space-saving manner in front of the tree grove. The spacious terrace forms the central element within the building ensemble and forms the transition between the grove of trees and the open multifunctional areas, as well as the spatial unity with the airport grounds. The open grassland area serves as a multifunctional open space that makes it possible to accommodate and individually distribute all uses, such as a campground, sports and water. The layered clods of the demolished, large airport fields serve as a boundary to the airport site and as an additional retreat.
