The morphology of the town of Moers serves as the basis for the new plans. The former ramparts and the city moat will become legible again. The new "Wallquartier" will be formed with three building blocks, which will be occupied by a mix of gastronomy, residential and inner-city businesses.

The moat and the rampart will be recognized as an inner-city green space with a special quality and will be developed as the city-encompassing rampart. Not only will the watercourse of the moat be completed and widened in large parts, but the current Königssee will also be included in the new plans. It will be

translated as a large water basin not far from its previous location at the Royal Court. In reference to the former See-Café Roos, such a café is planned in the Wankelhaus with a sun terrace and proximity to the water. The square at the Königlicher Hof functions as one of the most important public spaces between the newly emerging commercial focus and recreation in the city. As the highest synergies are expected there, the design in this intersection area enables a pleasant city life with opportunities to linger and stroll along the pond and moat.
