The site of the education campus combines the listed old building of the old school, which is now the city museum, the old gymnasium, the Astrid Lindgren Primary School with 3 building wings and the new construction of the planned multi-purpose building, which is to be used as a canteen and event hall.

The new forecourt created by the canteen building is a semi-public space, which can be used as a recreation room for school and after-school care, but is also accessible in the evening hours or at weekends as a public square. Here, the square surface will be completely renewed by laying a carpet-like surface of water-permeable asphalt into the surrounding paved area. The existing trees will be supplemented and seating provided.

The actual schoolyard opens up adjacent to the forecourt. A green classroom is to be created to the north of building wing 1. The existing slope will be terraced in three levels. The terraces are on the one hand green planting areas with perennials, grasses and low shrubs, on the other hand wooden seating areas as well as wooden platforms are planned.

The schoolyard will be newly paved due to the extensive line renewal. A blue-marked ribbon will run across the new paved areas from north to south. Various play and information facilities will be integrated into the band. For example, one part of the band will show the old arm of the Dosse river. In other areas, the blue ribbon will become play areas, such as a new streetball field or a maze route.

In the west of the school, a school garden in the form of raised beds is planned.

The buildings are designed by new planning of ramps all accessible.
