Schöneberger loop Cheruskerdreieck / Torgauer Straße green corridor

The green corridor at the listed gasometer (approx. 2.5 ha) connects the supra-local east-west green corridor from Cheruskerpark to Park am Gleisdreieck. The design picks up on the curved line of the existing circular railway line and the former railroad lines in the Cheruskerdreieck area. In the open, landscaped green area, individual activity areas for intergenerational movement and activity are arranged, which are intended to appeal in particular to older people and people with physical disabilities. Areas for relaxation and recreation are arranged between the exercise areas. Special accents are set by tree plantings, rose and shrub beds.



In addition to the participation process for the overall green corridor, a second participation process was carried out for the Julius Leber memorial site. As a result of this process, a

area was redesigned according to the wishes of the citizens.
