In Dortmund's Westfalenpark, the Robinson playground and the start of the play arch have been redesigned under the motto "World Journey".

The world journey describes a playable "story", a path through fantastic settings in which individual story motifs appear again and again.

From the staged opening at the rose garden to the large worlds of water, forests and gorges at the Robinson playground, all kinds of surprising, bizarre and mysterious experiences await visitors young and old alike.
The origins of the motifs for the individual play objects are diverse and abstract. Many inspirations come from stories about traveling or exploring distant worlds.

The various motifs were grouped spatially and combined into "worlds". This provides a certain orientation in the chaos of dreams and inspirations. The aim was to create a wide variety of experiential spaces in a broad play-pedagogical approach that promote motor skills as well as educational and social aspects of play. The narrative approach of storytelling, which combines what has already been experienced (heard, read, seen) with the new haptic experience in Westfalenpark, remains the central theme. The aim was to create an experience for all age groups and also to involve older people in the puzzle of recognizing the stories.
