Heiligenhaus Campus

The outdoor facilities of the campus are divided into two areas: the access and parking area to Kettwiger Strasse and the access area to the green space Am Hefelmann Park.

The area facing Kettwiger Strasse contains tree-covered parking spaces, the underground garage access and the fire department bypass. Access to the university foyer is via a small car-free square with benches and planting.

The transition to the Am Hefelmann Park area is provided by a "staircase-seat sculpture". Direct access from the lower-lying path to the front area of the foyer is via a direct staircase. Barrier-free access is provided via a ground-level access point to the south. The decreasing difference in height between the university and the parallel footpath and cycle path is absorbed by a meandering seating plinth, which offers communication and seating areas. The building and outdoor space form a calm ensemble that is well coordinated in terms of functions and materials.
