Located in the sixth construction phase of the Hufeisensiedlung in Berlin-Britz, which was planned by Bruno Taut, is a listed building and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. The garden, which was laid out in 1929 and covers an area of around 200 square metres, was restored in 2011-12 in accordance with the requirements for a listed building. The rows of fruit trees with sour cherries and ornamental apples, planned by the garden architect Leberecht Migge and originally running through the entire row of houses, were replanted, as were the former privet hedge and the hedge with white- and rose-flowering Rosa rugosa. Original concrete path slabs were still in place and could be re-set for the access path.
In front of the patio, a perennial bed of mainly blue and white colors now blooms with iris, poppies, phlox and other typical perennials of the 1920s. Historic garden furniture in blue echoes the original window colors.
The house has been restored to its former glory, furnished in 1920s/30s style and is available to rent as a holiday home for up to four people. In 2013, the owners and planners were presented with the "European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage/Europa Nostra Award" in Athens.
