In accordance with the guiding principle of "green urbanity", special objects were to be found for the State Garden Show nagold that could embody the urban concept gu and convey it emotionally. The concept aims to overcome the contrast between city and landscape. This is achieved through projects of construction botany, in which plants become living structures in public space. In the case of the "Growing Church", a chapel is created in the middle of a circle of trees, to which the plants provide a weather-protecting roof and an eye-catching outer façade. The "Plane Cube" stands in the middle of a row of townhouses. Here the building itself is the plant growing up from a stone surface.
