AppreciationGerman Landscape Architecture Award 2005

Jury verdict: The author shows in an exemplary manner how a small, long-neglected historical garden can be transformed into an attractive, eventful place to spend time with simple, coherent design elements. The design captivates with its clear structure and concise formal language. Natural stone, plants, water and light create a bright, festive space that blends unobtrusively into the historical ambience and at the same time fulfils its function as a "break room" for the nearby cultural institutions and as a venue for special events.
