The private garden on a slope is located in the transition to the open landscape. By incorporating the terrace structures as a landscape element, it is made usable and tangible.

In addition to the terrace structures, a hillside spring is staged in a watercourse with an inlet, thus emphasizing the special location on the slope by means of a pond, water stairs, fountain and water channel accompanying the path. Extensive surfaces integrate the garden spaces into the design language of the surroundings.

Execution: Fuchs baut Gärten, Lenggries

Jury verdict: The garden as a loose finger exercise with the natural potential - through this approach, the author succeeds in developing the unpretentious staging of an open space close to the apartment, offering coordinated diverse images, flowing into the surroundings and thus bringing breadth into what is actually a cramped plot.
The work is particularly captivating through the sensitive play with spatiality as well as the skilful introduction of time and natural dynamics.
