Jury verdict: The residential environment of the neighborhood, built in the early 1980s with an above-average proportion of children, young people and migrants, was in need of renewal after 30 years. With intensive resident participation, open spaces were renewed with playgrounds, tenant gardens and redesigned parking spaces.

Initiated by the municipal housing company SAGA/GWG, the project succeeded in creating a variety of uses for both families with children and the elderly. Young people were not only involved in the planning, but also played an active role in the construction.

The "art axis" as an identity-creating element, which was designed and realized together with schools and residents, deserves special mention - a remarkable contrast to the neglect and neglect of art objects in the residential environment that can be observed in some places.
