Imperial Garden

In the heart of Deidesheim, the renowned but outdated Hotel "Hatterer" was demolished and replaced by the new Parkhotel "Kaisergarten". Due to the extensive construction measures, the existing garden had to be completely redesigned.

The entrance area is separated from the busy Weinstrasse by a representative planting bed with a basic structure of evergreen small shrubs and alternating flora.
The centerpiece in the rear garden area is a pond with vertically standing boulders that serve as a water feature. Embedded in planting areas with grasses, perennials and smaller woody plants, a circular path runs around and over the pond.

Directly adjacent to the building is a spacious terrace of the hotel restaurant. A special detail here are the oversized floor lamps with lampshades, which give the entire outdoor seating area a homely character. Another area for tables and chairs is located in the garden; the terrace with polygonal slabs of natural stone and wide lawn joints blends visually into the garden's planted area.
Immediately next to the preserved ensemble of buildings made of sandstone, some steps lead to a lower area. Here - away from the rest restaurant terrace - is a small play area for children.
