During a water borehole on the grounds of the Gropper dairy, the best water with an extremely long retention time in the ground was found under a massive Jurassic rock base.
In front of the operating building of the water extraction, a small well garden with publicly accessible open space made of Jurassic clods, reduced perennial planting, birches and pines as well as a handcrafted massive well block with drinking water now shows the function and history of the facility.
Display boards and visibly exhibited drill cores explain the facility, which are part of a theme trail of the community of Bissingen along the stream valley.
