Heilbronn will receive a sophisticated and appropriately redesigned city garden. Green spaces affected by the new hotel construction and the renovation of the existing underground car park will be restored using horticultural methods and with the aim of achieving a high quality of open space, and will be significantly supplemented in the area of the bus station on Karlstraße.

The strict striped pattern of the Harmonie forecourt is transformed into a varied and rhythmic banding pattern in the Stadtgarten. By following the existing design language of the striped structure, a continuity of the areas and homogenous effect of all surrounding surfaces is achieved. The theme of harmony is transferred into the free swing of the Wandelweg. This is a characteristic design element, swinging as a moving line through the city garden and leading visitors through the different garden spaces.

The Wandelweg leads through the city garden at attached recreation points with different uses. These places are formed as circles and are bordered by floating round benches with granite stone overlay. The southern point receives a watercourse, which invites to play.

The largest fountain forms the water symphony on the square area at the hotel, which invites with a large water level, nozzles and a seat edge to linger. The northern recreation point will be designed with a large playground consisting of round elements and offers for climbing, swinging and sanding. In addition to the round benches at the circles, there are free-standing park benches, which are located at points along the Wandelweg and in the park. Cut hedge bodies take up the order and rhythm of the pavement strips of the harmony square and translate them into the garden. The hedges are arranged at the edges of the green spaces and are supplemented in the southern area with smaller trees to create an exciting spatial effect and an appropriate closure to the adjacent light rail. Perennial plantings along the Wandelweg enrich the urban garden, which is otherwise planted with lawn. Existing trees in the city garden and seminar garden were integrated into the concept as far as possible and supplemented by numerous new woody plants.
