In a society that is increasingly characterized by questions of democracy, co-determination, individuality, but also by urgent questions of ecology, sustainability and climate protection, the development of the new Schumacher Quartier offers a unique opportunity to react in a forward-looking way on a large scale.

The public open space as the origin of social and democratic coming together will once again become a space for positive debate. A sustainable, ecological park landscape is being created that is characterized by co-determination and appropriation and develops answers to the questions of climate protection. Several thousand new tree plantings from different climate-resilient species combine biodiversity, CO2 sequestration and atmospheric density.

The new Berlin Climate Park responds to the complex demands of a pluralistic society with diverse rather than monotonous answers, both in terms of content and space. Diversity as liveliness, as changeability, as robustness. A forward-looking concept and a robust and flexible basic structure with a modern design language create identity and recognition value.
