The further development of our living environment is a complex planning task. At bhm, we therefore deliberately work in interdisciplinary teams with committed employees from different specialist disciplines. This enables us to examine issues from several perspectives and develop holistic solutions.
Intense dialogue with our clients is a central element of our corporate culture. Together with our clients, we develop custom-fit solutions for a wide range of tasks that go far beyond conventional solutions. To this end, we combine our teams into well-coordinated, interdisciplinary working groups. This enables us to offer differentiated solutions even for complex tasks at the various planning levels. The central basis is a broad and high level of knowledge, which we ensure through extensive staff qualifications, ongoing quality assurance and further training, and which we can prove through teaching activities and publications. We also take on special tasks: We successfully carry out higher-level analyses, expert opinions, project management as well as public participation procedures. Beyond the pure technical planning, we can thus assume responsibility in the consultation of municipalities and companies, as well as project support.
The hallmarks of our work are good craftsmanship and the appropriateness of the solution for the location and the context of the task. In planning and implementation, reliability is a matter of course for us. This is another reason why we can look back on numerous, long-standing and trusting collaborations with our commercial and municipal clients.

For us, landscape architecture means taking responsibility for the social space and the environment of the city beyond the actual design. From the special qualities of the site, we aim to develop distinctive spaces with a special atmosphere and identity that offer people orientation and robust uses. We aim to create diverse and long-lasting open spaces that offer sensory stimulation, quality of stay and ecological value through intelligent design, materials and durable vegetation. They should serve as meeting places for all social groups, be sustainable and maintainable, and be able to grow and age gracefully. We have the claim to master all technical areas from earthworks to water and maintenance management - from preliminary planning to detail - with high craftsmanship precision and design standards and to implement them with high quality.

We understand the discipline of landscape planning as practice-oriented and sustainable landscape development. Watercourse renaturation, the development of compensation areas, species monitoring or the creation of new meadow areas are only a small part of our multifaceted field of activity. The development of endangered habitat types such as wetlands and reed meadows is particularly close to our hearts. The complex interrelationships of these diverse ecotopes require experience, knowledge and sensitivity. We explore the potential for site-appropriate vegetation development, accompany and support with appropriate seeding concepts and also take on the extensive care management with specially planned grazing intensity and composition.

The nature-appropriate view is also a valuable synergy effect in urban planning work, because climate compensation and renaturation measures have become a demanding future mandate for many local governments. Here, too, we are ideally positioned with our multidisciplinary approach and experience in landscape and open space planning. In addition, modern cities want to be developed through democratic conventions and a culture of participation. We have several years of experience in municipal procedural support and are also very familiar with the administrative and approval processes.
