Dipl.-Ing. Barbara Sörries-Herrnkind has been running the planning office as a
freelance garden and landscape architect since 1988.

Her professional beginnings were in her parents' gardening and landscaping business in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg.



Studied garden and landscape design at the Technical University of Berlin and first job at the Wolfgang Miller planning office for the Federal Garden Show in Berlin in 1985.



Followed by several years of self-employment in Elmshorn, Schleswig-Holstein.



In 1988, the planning office established itself with its first commissions in the Kassel area.



Today, with employees and trainees, orders are also planned and processed throughout Germany and in neighboring countries.
Practical planning and construction supervision of domestic gardens, public and semi-public open spaces.



Our planning and design style focuses on the idea of harmonious open space design.

Every space has the potential to become a harmonious retreat.

The space to be designed develops like a puzzle. The client, the surroundings and the various possibilities offered by our professional field create redesigned oases - unused open spaces become valuable islands of experience and tranquillity.

Qi-Garden's gardens have developed from 26 years of self-employment.

Further training, research, book projects, customer and show gardens show more and more the need of customers for their own, relaxing places of regeneration, which enable an increased quality of life.

Our office also offers seminars and lectures on this multifaceted design method.
