Atelier Loidl Landscape Architecture Berlin GmbH

Based on the conviction that a design cannot be a projection screen for a single person, but that it can be brought to its best possible solution through intensive team cooperation, designing at Atelier Loidl has been an open and discursive process since its foundation in 1984. The results of our work are not repetitive designs that only refer to the author, but the results of a search for tailor-made and self-evident concepts that respond to the needs and desires of the people in a place.



Both the conceptual and detailed examination of our designs reveals their individual and unmistakable quality. It stems from our understanding of the city as a texture, the reference to the location as a necessity and opportunity, and the form as a precise formulation of circumstances and requirements with the use of reduced means. They are indispensable leitmotifs of our work.
