The dandelion, the school's namesake, is the leitmotif for the design of the outdoor facilities. The play and recreation areas, organically shaped as an abstract floral ornament, contrast with the rectangular functional cubature of the school building.
The curved asphalt path, designed as a play street through painting, leads from the main entrance of the school building to the play and recreation areas. These are grouped like the petals of a flower around the central sand area with large rope-climbing play equipment.
The action track with table tennis tables and balancing offers to the north of the school building mediates between the existing entrance area to the school grounds and the newly designed playground areas.
