The existing courtyard was an open space design from the 1980s, which was to be modernized and redesigned at the request of the tenants and the client due to its prominent location in Munich's city center.
From the various preliminary design variants, the open courtyard design with the exposed elliptical shapes that was later realized crystallized as the most purposeful design. Today, the illuminated ellipses with the shining plant troughs contribute to a high degree to the address formation of the inner courtyard.
