New construction of primary and secondary school at the Unterhaching sports park New construction of outdoor facilities and sports areas

The new school site is located on undeveloped, formerly agricultural land south of the sports park Unterhaching, in the neighborhood of residential development and kindergarten.

The central break area connects the school and sports hall as the main movement area. Four themed courtyards at the school building and an elongated grove of trees along the north side structure the outdoor areas. The sports areas (all-weather pitch, long jump, running track) and the functional areas (bicycle parking and equipment shed) are grouped together in the north along the site boundary. The parking spaces at the sports park are shared.
The main entrance area in the north is designed as a representative entrance. A grove of trees acts as a spatial 'filter' between the functional areas (running track, bicycle storage area) and the apron of the school with entrance area. The tree grove, covered with small- and medium-crowned trees, also serves as a quiet recreation area for the use of the break.

The differently designed courtyards, refectory courtyard as an outdoor seating area, work courtyard, reading courtyard and art courtyard, can be used as an extended break area or as part of the lessons as an outdoor class.
