The focus of the design of the Kleiner Blobach was the renewal of the surface paving and the functional structuring of the square.
The open space design is in the context of the historic architecture (buildings, city wall, city gates). In terms of urban planning, it was important to lower the street and square by removing disturbing terrain elevations.
The Breitsülze (historic city water supply) is classified as a technical monument. The course of the Breitsülze stream has been exposed and restored to a historic image. A buried feed wall of the weir and the middle woman gate were represented again in a height of 0,50- 0,70 m.
