Erfurt water axis egapark

The fountain jet basins of the water axis were restored to their original state as part of the new construction. The outdated jet technology was replaced. The existing historic stones were reinstalled in the sandstone surround. Over the next few years, the historic tile pattern in the pools will also be restored. The large pedestrian bridge was completely rebuilt true to the original, including railings. As an innovation, a central strip of stainless steel sheeting was installed, which serves as a barrier-free ramp by being lowered on both sides. Beneath the removable stainless steel plates is a removal shaft with filter screens connected to the pump system.
