Refreshing waterscape for a lawn-free family gathering place

The residential garden, situated next to the forest, consists of a central wooden terrace, which is surrounded on three sides by water and behind it by a second tier of living greenery. Lawn as an area-filling design element was omitted.
Stepping stones, which run into the wooden deck at millimetre-precise intervals, lead from the main terrace across the water to a secondary terrace behind the fully usable ornamental swimming pool. This sunny seating area provides the latest afternoon sun and the greatest perceptible depth of space in the garden. A further tread plate axis marks the side garden access, integrating it into the overall concept.
The higher platform at the living room exit integrates the elongated living room staircase. It then runs as a bench body around the house facade. The bench provides additional seating and can be decorated with planters and other accessories.
The edge planting enlivens the linear structures. It consists of evergreen climbing plants on the height-graded privacy fence as well as grasses and perennials of the shady forest edge.
