Redesign of the outdoor facilities of the Finsterwalde grammar school Small schoolyard

In the historical environment of the listed building ensemble by the architect Max Taut, the conversion and redesign of the so-called small schoolyard was also part of the overall planning in addition to the large schoolyard, but was processed in an earlier construction phase.
This was preceded by a comprehensive survey of the students and teachers, what they would like to experience in the playground.
Movement and sports was the desire and the planning was met.
In terms of area with the large schoolyard of the other construction phase at least equal, but predominate here rather the playful break offers.
So several movement and also for physical education suitable offers are integrated in a residual still existing parking space.

Turning tops invite to the motorically demanding sitting and balancing in small communication groups.
Table tennis is an ever-popular break option.
A small soccer facility from earlier years has been incorporated into the overall use and additional ball fields have been added.
And last but not least, a parkour area can be used both in class as a performance-oriented obstacle course but also as a playful recess area.
