The town of Büren commissioned us to plan a skate park in the historic town center. The meandering Alme stream was the inspiration for our "flowing riding experience" flow park concept in two senses: the meandering course of the Alme stream was recreated in the form of a flowing skate park (flow park) and enables a flowing riding experience (flow).

The design of the flow park blends harmoniously into the overall landscape thanks to its organic shapes. The existing trees have been sensitively integrated into the design and provide shade for users.

Several participation meetings were held with the future users. This means that not only skateboarders can be active in the flow park, but also longboarders, BMX bikers, MTB bikers, inline skaters, roller skaters and scooter riders.

The topic of inclusion also played a major role and was taken into account as part of the planning process. We placed particular emphasis on inclusion through barrier-free access and wheelchair accessibility, even for wheelchair sports competitions (WHC).

This has created an identity-forming place for young people, as they helped to design this facility in advance and previously there were only children's play facilities in the Almeauenpark.

The Flowpark was realized using a concrete construction method, which is low-maintenance and can be expected to have a service life of around 30 - 50 years. The concrete material can also be recycled and reused.
