KRÜCKAUWANDERWEG The connection to the railway station Kaltenkirchen-Süd

The Krückau hiking trail is to be extended from Nikolaus-Otto-Straße to Hamburger Straße as a connection to Kaltenkirchen-Süd railway station. The path initially runs directly along the Krückau and is routed behind a ditch crossing through a compensation area for the double-track expansion of the AKN. During the construction, existing protected biotopes and other wooded areas were taboo zones and were protected by a sensitive construction site installation, among other things by means of stationary construction fences. Maintenance measures coordinated with species protection by the town of Kaltenkirchen lead to a high level of biodiversity and a beautiful natural experience.
