The new pavement stretches from the edge of the building to the edge of the decorative half-timbered façades and is designed to be barrier-free and even. The two interlocking types of paving structure the square and at the same time enable multifunctional use. Both in everyday use, pedestrian zone, gastronomy, as well as for large commercial and cultural events, the robust and cozy town square forms the "good room" in the old town. The heart of the square, the fountain with its historical monument, will be restaged. The existing water basin will be dismantled and the area around the fountain will be accessible without steps. A mirror in the form of an abstract rose blossom made of natural stone forms the new base for the restored monument.

15 illuminated fountains around the monument create a playable water field and will be the new attraction with a height of up to 1.5 meters. Three large wooden seating platforms will be placed at the edge of the rose blossom so that visitors can watch the activity at the fountain.

The vegetation concept ensures the visual relationship with the town hall façade and, in combination with the new furniture, creates shaded areas and places to relax. Parts of the square furniture can be temporarily removed and reinstalled for large events. A modern lighting concept accentuates the historic facades, creates a cozy basic illumination of the square and promotes the use of the square with gastronomic offerings.
