Moers Leisure Park is an important part of the public structures in the town of Moers. In addition to the leisure park, the castle park, the associated ramparts and the city center of Moers should be mentioned in the immediate vicinity. As part of the leisure park, the newly designed Moersbachpark is moving into the urban spotlight thanks to its strong diversity of uses, clear structures and unique highlights.

The Moersbachpark - Magic of Water design sees Moersbachpark as an ensemble of six elements:

The skatepark concept arises from the need to equip the new Moersbachpark in the city of Moers with a skatepark that not only serves local users, but also attracts the attention of users from all over Germany and abroad, making the city a place of interest for extreme sports.

For this reason, the skatepark is given a prominent space to cover most of the needs of such a project.

The planning process began with the location of the skatepark, taking into account the existing trees for the climatic conditioning of the track and using them in our favor. In order to meet the noise protection requirements, this was recessed by 0.50-1 m and the skate park was equipped with roll-affine objects throughout.

The next step was to divide the project into 4 areas that cover different needs: Flow Street, Snakeline, Pool for beginners and Pool for advanced and experienced skaters.

The obstacles in each area have been designed so that all sports can be practiced equally in these areas: BMX, skateboard, scooter, inline skate, MTB, wheelchair, etc. At the same time, the project is given unique obstacles to differentiate this skatepark from others. In fact, the pool has enough features for experienced riders to hold international events.

Extreme sports are no longer just the future, they are the present, they are the sports of the 21st century. With a space with these characteristics, we are promoting these sports in the best possible way and positioning the city of Moers as an important point for their practice in Europe.
