In 1925, the square with the fountain and the fisherman sculpture was laid out as an open, green space.

The symmetry of the fountain was partially lost due to renovations and redesigns in the 1970s and 1980s.



The aim of the redesign was to restore the square at the Fischerbrunnen on the basis of historical plans. The restoration of the fountain and the sculpture in line with historical preservation requirements was of particular importance.
