Overall concept for almost the entire city for creative care, conversion, new construction, connection of open spaces. Object planning and implementation of all parts on the occasion of a so-called "small garden show".
Development, implementation and partial supervision of an event concept.

AppreciationGerman Landscape Architecture Award 2007

Jury verdict: "Better to do a little and do it right." - The project is dedicated to the old town of Ladenburg and the surrounding areas, linking them together to form a 3.5 kilometre long "Green Ring". The Ladenburg Green Ring complements - through the intervention of landscape architecture - the urban quality of the city centre with valuable newly created and rediscovered public open spaces, which have a wide variety of uses for appropriation by the citizens.

With great design restraint and modesty, the potential of the different places is recognized and subtly brought out. Through maintenance interventions in existing vegetation structures, areas and spaces of impressive quality are created. Accentuated structural measures such as stairways and bridges create new connections and accessibility. An open space continuum of great value is created. The field of tension between city and river, built and open landscape, between culture and nature is redefined.

This tribute recognizes the value and importance of those measures that have enriched the city and its residents and created an unimagined boost in terms of community spirit and civic engagement in the city.
