The direct location of the Budenheim chemical factory on the Rhine made improved flood protection necessary. In order not to seal off the company premises from the community with a two-meter high wall, a low wall solution was found for the largest section, which can be raised with mobile flood protection elements if required. The redesigned forecourts open up the site to the community of Budenheim. In addition, the access and parking facilities were reorganized.
