Geitz & Partner GbR Freelance garden/landscape architects and hydrologists

The landscape architecture office Geitz & Partner GbR in Stuttgart-Möhringen was founded in spring 1999 by the three partners, the independent garden and landscape architects Peter Geitz and Thomas Kusche, and the qualified hydrologist Holger Kappich. For us, everything revolves around water.
In addition to the three partners, the office employs 10 people from the fields of landscape architecture, geography, geoecology and civil engineering, as well as other freelancers, and forms project-specific consortiums with other specialist offices and the hydraulic engineering institutes of various universities.
Our work focuses on the state of Baden-Württemberg and the neighbouring federal states, with projects also being carried out abroad.
The main focus of our landscape architecture office lies in the area of watercourse planning and near-natural hydraulic engineering, whereby the areas of landscape planning and object planning are also completely handled. Projects on flowing and still waters with a purely ecological focus are just as much a part of our field of activity as are creative, demanding redesigns and the development of multifunctional open spaces in the urban environment as well as technically dominated flood protection planning and the sustainable combination of all these different facets. The dimensioning required for watercourse planning in the fields of hydrology and hydraulics (rainfall-runoff modelling, one and two-dimensional water level calculation, eco-hydraulics) is developed within the office. Extensive experience is also available in the development, planning, dimensioning and implementation of technical and technical-biological bank protections on federal waterways. Furthermore, we work intensively in the further and new development, as well as the practical application of bioengineering construction techniques in earthworks and hydraulic engineering.
In addition to routine project work, we are actively involved in the further education and training of specialist groups, students, pupils and interested laypersons, as the responsible use of water as a resource is and will remain one of the most important tasks for the future.
