Residential development Raderberger Straße Cologne

Along the Raderberger Str. a peripheral development has been created, on the ground floor a four-group day care center, with an outdoor play area of about 1,000 m².

In the rear area 3-4-storey building rows have been created. The main development of the inner area is via a 2-storey passage between Raderberger Straße 146 and 160.

In connection to the outdoor area of the day care centre, an approx. 500 m² neighbourhood public playground was implemented, which is publicly accessible via a right of way, but remains in private hands in terms of maintenance.

A total of approx. 180 residential units have been created.

The above-ground development is exclusively pedestrian via residential paths. The supplementary areas required for the fire brigade and emergency vehicles are largely constructed in lawn joint paving or in gravel lawn. Refuse vehicles will not travel through the new residential area. On the day of collection, the wheeled containers are placed collectively behind the bar on Raderberger Strasse.

As stationary traffic is accommodated exclusively in an underground car park, the entire neighbourhood is "car-free". Quiet, high-quality open spaces have been created with tree-lined residential development paths and with gardens assigned to the ground floor.
