The vocational school for automotive engineering from the 60s was renovated in 4 different construction phases. The old building, which is a listed building, was renovated. The administration building was converted into a technical class building with an assembly hall and extended with a canteen. A commercial vehicle hall was added. With these measures, the main entrance was transformed into a public campus. Access areas and the entire parking system were rearranged. The footpath connection between Ebelingplatz and Hammer Weg is still maintained. New break yards are created and give the school an appropriate quality again. The basic linear structure is retained. In the case of the break yards, these forms are partially dissolved without reducing the clarity of the design.
