Town hall environment Buch am Erlbach
In the center of Buch am Erlbach, a new civic hall was built between the town hall square and the street Kugelpoint.
The town hall, which was structurally located in the second row and whose outdoor facilities were characterized by asphalt traffic areas, was moved to the front row as part of an ensemble in terms of urban development through the creative combination with the community center and traditional inn with maypole location. The formal unification of the individual buildings by free sight lines and uniform sidewalk improves the perception and strengthens so durably the city hall presence in the local center.
The widening of the sidewalks along the main street contributes to it.
A part of the passenger car parking lots moved to the rear of the city hall and was also formally marked by another sidewalk choice as a subordinate economic area. The slightly redirected development allows a car-free area on the connecting open space with seating, upgraded green spaces and a fountain.
The courtyard serves both the inn and the civic hall as open space. The common access from the street Kugelpoint emphasizes this interlocked use and allows community events such as the Christmas market on a larger area.
Uniform colors and furnishings as well as a low-maintenance, yet flowering planting plan result in a formative, unifying appearance for the town hall environment.
It was important to ensure barrier-free accessibility of the buildings. Beginning with an orientation field, tactile guiding devices lead to the square and point the way to the entrance of the town hall and the citizens' hall. The entrances to the civic hall are accessible without stairs or via 6% ramps.
At the steeper ramp at the entrance to the town hall, help can be summoned via a bell and intercom.
In the first construction phase, the three additional angled parking spaces were created at the rear of the town hall to clear the courtyard for further work.
On completion of the work on the civic hall, the remaining construction measures were carried out. Thus, the guest garden in the courtyard could already be used for the beer garden season 2020.
