A "landscape of knowledge" consisting of different landscapes is the basic idea that defines the open space concept of the school grounds. The grounds are characterized by plantings of silvery-leaved, Mediterranean-style shrubs, the school's own fruit garden with an adjacent orchard and a studio courtyard with whimsical-looking willow trees. Integrated into this are the atrium courtyards for the all-day area with inlays for ball games, climbing or balancing, a spacious staircase with seating steps and small playing fields for school sports.
A carpet of cast stone slabs connects the spatial relationships between inside and outside and ensures that the architecture is closely interwoven with the landscape.
The natural space to the neighboring Spießwald forest is largely preserved, meadow areas, extensive green roofs and tree plantings are additionally created as compensation
