A 47 m long "water architecture" picks up on the historical axis from the station square to the old town center. Cool groundwater gushes out of the fountain, running down green walls, cascades and basins. Finally, it plunges back into the underground stream of the gravel plain via a waterfall. Vaterstetten gives a refreshing welcome: "Green connects - gravel, water, parks"!
The old station square and the ramp to the S-Bahn station have been transformed into a prestigious calling card for the town of Vaterstetten.
The traffic-calmed square, which previously presented itself as an asphalted bus turning circle at the new multi-storey parking lot, has been upgraded with seating walls and level paving with concrete and natural stone. The shopping areas and the area around the multi-storey parking lot with its café have become a meeting place for young and old.
