The school buildings and the western schoolyard have been renovated in recent years; the sports facilities on the eastern school grounds, however, were not in good condition. They have not been significantly changed or adapted to changing requirements since the school was built.

The planned measures envisaged a fundamental redesign of the sports facilities. Multifunctional, usable, contemporary sports facilities were to be created, which would form the basis for attractive physical education. In order to accommodate the greatest possible intensity of sports activities on the small area, the design envisaged a combination of different running and playing facilities. Thus, the planned running tracks could be used for middle distance running as well as sprinting and long jump.
The largest area of the facility is occupied by the indoor playing field. Various sports will be practiced here, such as soccer, basketball, handball, and badminton. The entire playing as well as running surfaces have been constructed in a single-layer synthetic surface made of EPDM granules.
The surrounding areas are designed as grass areas, making them suitable for gymnastics classes or warm-up exercises.
2 basketball hoops, 2 goals, badminton nets, 1 long jump and 1 high jump, necessary sports equipment and facilities. The existing playground equipment has been reinstalled.
The historic fencing was replaced and the existing double-leaf wooden gates and single-leaf gate were replaced with steel gates of the same design and construction.
8 large trees were planted along the eastern boundary with Pestalozzi Street.
