The architectural idea for the Bejach country house reaches far beyond the actual structure, incorporating the entire garden space and staging views of the surrounding landscape.
Erich Mendelsohn's architectural idea for this building illuminates the property in all its depth. Through structural additions, walls and pergolas, he succeeds in creating a generous distinctive structural ensemble of house and garden from the relatively modest spatial program.

The house and garden of the Landhaus Dr. Bejach, planned by Erich Mendelsohn in context, are a typical example of high-quality housing in the modern era. As could be proven by the evaluation of execution plans and photos from the time of origin, a large part of the original substance has survived to this day. The good state of preservation of the building and the architectural elements of the garden makes it obvious to think about a complete reconstruction of the uniform country house complex designed by Erich Mendelsohn. The original concept of a representative front garden area and a private retreat in the rear part of the garden can no longer be experienced today due to the overhaul of the 70s by the former owner.
Since the current owner would agree with the complete revision to restore the original concept, the unique opportunity to recover an important testimony of modern architecture in Berlin should be used. The object is listed under the number 09045934 in the monument list of the state of Berlin. The associated garden has been registered as a garden monument since 1987.12.14.
